Spammers, scammers and hackers have abundant fields to harvest from in the frontiers of the crypto space.
Take for example the NFT collector “ILovePonzi”, who lost his Ape NFTs worth more than $1 million to hackers. The Wild West muddle related to crypto wallets can make it hard even for experts to distinguish what is real, fake or blatant hacks.
And in the latest heist, one of the most popular cross-blockchain bridges may have been the victim of a hack worth over $326 million, according to Coindesk.
Just like in the Wild West of the past, pioneers and outlaws are brought together by curiosity, reinvention and greed. It’s just the beginning, for both sides.
